Sports and Competition Swimsuits
Halcyon Blue has four styles of sports swimsuits in our range. These have been carefully designed to withstand the rigours of regularly competitive swimming as well as for comfort and style. We also use different fabrics one of which is specifically designed to aid athletic performance.Our traditional styles
The plain fabrics are made from a luxury Italian fabric called Malaga that is used by quality swimwear all over the world and is renowned for its lightness and elasticity. It is also chlorine and UV resistant.
The distinctive printed fabrics are made from a fabric called Brisbane. This is the ideal partner for all sport activities and with its soft but strong structure it is not affected by chlorine and can defend from UV rays and enhances any sport performance.
All our printed and plain sports swimsuits have a full lining at the front. However, as with all our suits they can be made without lining on request.
Our professional sports range
These are the same designs as our traditional styles but the special fabric these suits are made from carries the LYCRA® Sport certification to help improve athletic performances, and is also highly chlorine and UV resistant.
They are made from a fabric called Atlanta Plus. This fabric offers the perfect muscular compression. It decreases muscular vibrations and strain and improves overall athletic performance. This makes it ideal for extreme sportswear and is also resistant to piling, abrasions, chlorine, sun creams and oil and ensures the best fit over time.
All our professional sports swimsuits come without a lining to reduce drag in the water. As the fabric is heavier than normal it really doesn't need one. However, as with all our suits they can be made with lining or a lycra gusset on request.
Sizing
Our sports swimsuits are available in sizes small to extra large and we also offer most with a long or tall body size. This adds an extra 5cm to the torso to improve comfort and fit.
